It's Not Just My Memory That's Going!

I got the call!  Well, actually I didn't get the call.  I was impatient as always and called the school myself.  The secretary answered and told me that indeed a change had been made in Kaia's teacher.  She is so very excited about the new choice of teacher she received!  I can finally relax about the whole thing now.

Moving on...

I've been having issues with my computer for a while now.  I'm sure reading back on the posts in this blog with offer up a plethora of info about what a pain in the rear it has been.  Constantly telling me that the "virtual memory is too low" and that it is "increasing the size of the paging file" or something like this.  I bought the tower about 4 years ago.  I've been getting this message for a couple of years now.  I have no idea what virtual memory is.  I'm not that computer savvy.  I've deleted programs.  I've removed files.  For Mother's Day, Chris purchased an external hard drive so I could move all of my photos, music, and documents off of the computer.  I did this, but it still wasn't helping.  Recently I've been getting an annoying pop-up while online saying that "a script has been stopped due to low memory".  I'd had it.  I was fed up.  I made the executive decision to do a system recovery and revert the computer back to it's original state.  I will admit I was scared to death that this was going to royally screw up my computer, but I was willing to take the risk.

Things went swimmingly.  It rebooted in about 20 minutes and I started out fresh.  I went through removed programs I do not use.  Deleted documents I did not need.  Did a disk clean up.  Did the disk defragmenter.  All was well for the first day.  The second day, however, I started getting the annoying pop-up again.  Only when (don't laugh at me) I was trying to play FarmTown on Facebook.  Then Monday night while my husband was trying to do his picks for his fantasy football team, it kept happening to him too.  Then yesterday afternoon, I got the "Virtual memory is too low.  Windows is increasing the size of the paging file" message.  What is going on here?!  I am going to have to go out and buy extra memory I suppose, but where do I go?  I mean I know where to go, but I mean... who's got the best deal?  What is the right manufacturer?  What in the world am I doing??  Is it going to cost me more to buy memory or just buy a new stinkin' computer?  Ahhhh.... someone save me please!!
